You use an exercise rug during the warming up and cooling down of your horse. When it is cold, the rug ensures that the muscles warm up faster during warming up. It is important after training, that the muscles do not cool down too quickly. The exercise rug will absorb the sweat just like a sweat rug and transport it to the outside air. Some BR exercise rugs are water-repellent, so you can also use them in rainy weather. The exercise rugs have a saddle opening and a leg cutout so that you can ride them well. If you don't want to be bothered by the exercise rug at all, you can take a model that covers only the hindquarters of your horse. These rugs do not close in front of the saddle but are secured to the stirrup straps.
